The Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (H.R. 146 has passed the Senate and the House.  This bill includes over 2 million acres of new wilderness and 26 million acres of other protected congressional designations.

Montana, Wyoming and Idaho are the main targets of NREPA but other areas in the west are also under attack from other federal actions and legislation. 

WE STOPPED NREPA IN THE LAST SESSION, BUT

 NREPA IS BACK,

 WITH LARGER ENVIRONMENTALIST MAJORITIES AND A SYMPATHETIC ADMINISTRATION.  
we will now have an even harder time stopping NREPA and the host of other bad public access legislation that will certainly be introduced.
